Songfestival aimed to be part of the fabric of celebrations of the culture and arts in Kirklees. Its aim was to bring a boutique style folk based festival to Huddersfield, attracting visitors to the area and providing quality entertainment for the town, putting it back on the music map.

During the necessary licensing process consultation with locals has identified a misunderstanding of what we intend to do, how we would do it, and the impact it would have has created an apprehension amongst local residents that we would wish to address.

This has not been assisted by misinformation and very negative attitude from the self appointed anti festival committee.

We have therefore with a heavy heart put on hold this years festival, but aim to be back for ‘08.

All customers will be refunded in full from their point of purchase.

PayPal purchases will be refunded directly to the card used to make payment over the next 14 days. Please contact all other ticket agencies directly for other refunds.
